WHAT’S IN THE BOX

Listed below are the items supplied as part of the game,
plus a brief description of how each element is used during play.

Below are descriptions of the various cards and counters used in the game.  There is also a submission dice which you throw when you are ready to take a project to approval.  The odds are in your favour – there are four yeses and only one no and a resubmit so you can take another bite of the cherry.  There are also resource tablets which resource the various stages of the project: yellow for the discovery, green for the development and blue for the clinical stages.

The counters you move around the board include some science based ones.  Examples are shown below.  There are 11 limited edition games which include the microscope and test tube rack.  These will be dispatched to the first 11 people who order the Portfoli-oh! a pharma strategy game.

Please refer to the instructions in the box.  There are complete instructions and quick guide and score cards included in the game.  Please let us know how you get on – we’d love to hear your stories.  Have fun!

In each box there a at least four counters for the player to move around the board.  There is one dice to be thrown when submitting a project for approval and also 12 resource tablets of each colour (yellow, green and blue) for discovery, development and clinical resourcing of projects.

These cards enable you to collect resource tablets.  These tablets resource the projects.  Some cards provide projects that are already resourced such as the In-licensed and Project Wild cards.

These cards provide the projects to create your portfolio.  There are three different therapy areas, infection, cardiovascular and oncology.  Each project needs to be sourced through discovery, development and clinical.

These cards can help or hinder your strategy.  Just keep your fingers crossed when you pick one of these cards up.

These cards are used to boost your points but be careful, they could count against you at the end of the game.

There is a score card, a short instruction leaflet (with another score card on the back) and a full instruction leaflet (including the short instructions in case you need a quick reminder of the rules) in the box.
